Kevin Melia

Kevin joined Storm Ventures in 2002 as a junior member of the investment team. In that role he worked with several Storm portfolio companies including Airespace (acquired by Cisco), Berkana Wireless (acquired by Qualcomm), and IML (Taiwan IPO). Since 2006, Kevin has led the finance and administration functions at Storm.

Prior to joining Storm, Kevin was a Manager at Mitchell Madison Group, a management consulting firm, and its successor companies, USWeb/CKS and marchFIRST. He primarily worked with clients in the local technology industry to develop new business opportunities and establish strategic partnerships.

Kevin began his career as a development engineer creating new fiber optic products for Raychem. He initially began at the company’s Menlo Park headquarters before transferring to Leuven, Belgium for two years. Upon returning from Europe, Kevin joined Raychem’s Raynet subsidiary which shortly became Ericsson’s fiber optic access division in Silicon Valley.

Kevin is currently a volunteer mentor with MIT’s Venture Mentoring Service and serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Altos Educational Foundation.

Kevin earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
