Jon is an EIR at Storm focusing on several areas, including enterprise IT Infrastructure, Cloud services/applications, and consumer Internet applications.
Prior to Storm, Jon founded and ran a successful Cloud services company, SKYE, which provided both core IaaS for enterprises and ISPs/Carriers as well as direct-to-consumer cloud applications. Jon grew the SKYE business to over 15 million subscribers and secured a top-tier list of ISP/Carrier customers, including Comcast, Verizon, Virgin Media and Telstra.
Jon has also held executive and management-level positions at several startups and public companies, including NetScreen (JNPR), 3Com, Nominum, ConSentry Networks, Applied Identity, and Securify.
The early part of his career, Jon spent working in tech and management consulting in Japan. He is a fluent Japanese speaker and is certified at Level One in the Japanese Language Proficiency Exam (TOEFL equivalent for Japanese).
Jon holds an AB from Duke University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
